Criticism of triangulation

1. Its naive realism. Research findings should be seen as just one among many possible renditions of social life. There's no single definitive account of the social world. "realism VS constructionsm" (This is a classic case of Judging VS Perceiving)

2. Sets of data deriving from different research methods can be unambiguously compared.

3. Triangulation looks at different contexts and therefore ignores the context bound nature of ethnographic situations(Silverman)

4. The aggregation of data even when grounded in same theoretical perspective does not produce an overall truth(Silverman)
